A festival or ‘gala is an event, usually and is usually performed by local communities, the center and celebrate some of the unique aspects of society and the Festival. Among many religions, the party is a series of celebrations to honor God or gods. A feast and festival are historically interchangeable. However, “the party” the term has also entered common secular language as a synonym for any large or elaborate meal. When used as the meaning of the festival, most often refers to a religious festival rather than a film or art festival.

There are different types of festivals in the world. Though many have religious origins, others involve seasonal change or have some cultural significance. Also, certain institutions celebrate their own festivals (often called “fests”) to mark some significant occasions in their history. This opportunity could be the day these institutions were founded or other event that they decided to commemorate periodically, usually every year.

In the Christian liturgical calendar there are two principal feasts, properly known as the Feast of The Birth of Our Lord (Christmas) and the Feast of the Resurrection, (Easter). In the Catholic calendar, Eastern Orthodox, and Anglican liturgy there are a large number of smaller festivals throughout the year commemorating saints, sacred events, doctrines, etc.
